An Open S
pace and Recreation Plan (OSRP) is both a process and a document that guides the use and stewardship of a community's open space and recreation resources, including land and water.
Because Great Barrington's existing OSRP was published in 2013 and is now out of date, the Planning Board began an OSRP update in 2025 with a goal of approving a new OSRP by June 2026. Having an approved OSRP not only provides a framework for a community's future conservation and development decisions, it also makes the Town eligible for grants to support OSRP implementation.
All meetings of the Planning Board are public meetings. The OSRP will be discussed at the meeting on the 4th Thursday of each month, through June 25, 2026. We hope to see you there!
