The Town of Great Barrington is hiring for on-demand van drivers to support our community transit program. the South County Connector. The drivers will provide transit service for seniors and the general public.
On Demand team members can work up to 19 hours per week. They typically do not have a set schedule, but fill in part-time and full-time drivers. Open shifts are regularly posted through our scheduling app. There are opportunities for advancement within the South County Connector - we prefer to promote from within. The pay rate for this role is $21.00 per hour.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a valid Class D Driver's license, the ability to pass a CORI check, and a clean driving record. Candidates will also need to pass a pre-employment physical, which includes a drug and alcohol screening. Ideal candidates will have experience operating passenger vans, shuttles, or similar vehicles, and experience working with seniors or persons with disabilities.
